It been quite sometime since the last update, a month? Been busy with stuff, been to KL last few weeks back and now i am in KL again updating this little portion while i am waiting for my friends at a cafe.

Promise that once i back in Singapore after this trip, i will give a “detail report” of what i have been doing the past month. Meanwhile, here are some photos for sharing that i have shot last month. Hope you will enjoy it.

9th of Aug, Singapore National Day.

This was the 1st time that i have seen the Singapore Aircrobatic plane in action. Honestly, i am amazed of what the done and here my luck shot.

Too bad that my lens is not wide enough to capture the whole “heart” with the cityscape…..

Finally got one “decent” shot out of the numerous of takes during the fireworks celebration for the National day.

One of my fave shots, finally got one more shot for my “Yin Tian” series.

This little poor bird, caught in a heavy rain and was at my window side for shelter. Wanted to open my window to let it come it but scare it flew away if i open it.

So helpless and just could take a pic of it…….

Sighz…. miss the both event, Olympics and the Paralympic 2008. Wondering when will it be held in Asia again. Perhaps my next life time…….

Still catching my breathes to clearing up there unfinished stuff and there are still so many of it. And some have been asking me this, “Why are you so busy always and you are not working?”. I do agree that i have not been working for the past few years since the day i left my ex-company, but that’s don’t mean i am free or just “bum” around doing nothing as i have too many things that i wanted to do especially while i still can for the time being and i won’t want to waste every single breathe that i took.

Have just got back from Malaysia, KL. After spending about a week there and it’s really nice to see friends again. Catching up here and there, getting to know new friends. This time round was really a fruitful one for me. Before i share my KL trip. Let me clear with what was the “outstanding” of my journey in singapore before i head to KL.

For the first time in Singapore, “Dream Series” is exhibiting at “Public” (Free Admission) at Singapore Discovery Centre. Was invited for it few months back to celebrate the Singapore National Day, what i really love about this is the main audiences. The school children and i hope thru this exhibition they will be inspired and dream it BIG! Thanks to SDC for inviting me for such event.

Few months back, friends have send me some link for some Photography contests and what attract me was the money or the gears. What attract me is the opportunity to travel and access for some good cause. THE RICE PROJECT and the contest theme was “Living”.

here is my little story of “Living” my entry And thanks to those who have voted me. By now, those winners should have back from Sri Lanka. Hope soon will be able to see those touching moments.

Due to i have too many many “stuff” that in my mind and kind of not being able to “focus”. It just so happen that i received an email regarding about this contest, Epson Color Imaging where one of my idea is kind of fit this theme. So have rushed it out before i head off to KL.

Here was the Test Shoot and 2 of my friends came to join in the fun. The actual one has already sent in before the closing date on the 29th Aug, so now just cross fingers. The actual shoot was kind of rush too and Thanks to my friend, Chris who lend me his “lights” and being in the photos too. Thank you.

This few months, i have know many new people and of cos some of their dreams too.

Know this bunch of cheerful and fun lovely people thru ROY and been meeting for numerous of “Kopi” sessions as one of them is leaving to Israel, Yun is the one who is leaving to go back “home”. It really nice to know her and thanks for her to share with me so many things that she has seen in her life and what she has done. Kind of admired her for her courage and way of life.

This photo has won me some prizes where i joined a photography contest with Tanjong Pagar Community Centre and it just so happen that i have a photo where i shot last time just fit the theme nicely. So just try my luck and it’s really lucky to won the 3rd place.

One early day, i received a call where it shown it unknown, a familiar voice i heard. “Hello, Charles!… I am DAN!!! how are you?!” Then he said “I am coming to Singapore tomorrow!!!” i was like shock of my life as it’s so spontaneous after i replied him. I am so happy for him now as he has found a job in Singapore and hope here will provide more comfort and future for him comparing where i have met him few years back at Malaysia, KL. Which he work as a security guards at a hotel. He is here alone and currently staying with his agent and his family is a Nepal as he is only one here to work for the family’s bread on the table.

We have met up the next day of his arrival and have a nice catch up. That’s really nice of him to remember that i never been to Nepal and he brought me some stuff from his hometown. He hope oneday i will be traveling in Nepal with him being my tour guide

Feel so bad that, i have been busy at time when he just arrived and didt really spend time to bring him around. Soon we will meet up again once i cleared with my stuff.

Love this expression and moments where we shared, the laughters. It was the time that i went back to Changi Hawker centre to pass photos to those people i have met the other time when i headed down for supper and look for a friend. It’s for sure a fruitful one as i know many new friends!!!!

Olympic 2008 has ended and missed the chance of being there. Nothing but just watched the updates through the TV programs. Even thought i cant be there physically to support Singapore Team to fight for the Gold medal at the Girl Table-tennis team event. I believe that almost “whole” of SIngapore were watching this historical moments where Singapore has broke the long quest of 48 years for a Olympic medal! For the 1st time in my life, i witnessed my country flag was rose at the Olympic Prize ceremony!!!! What a chance!!!!

Cant imagine what will i do if i am there? My face painted and shouted till my throat sore, perhaps.

Kudos to these 3 girls who have fought bravely in the event and ended the 48 years medal drought.

Meanwhile, need to go catch some rest and will update my KL trip once i done with it. Hope i didt miss out anyone at this updates………. Goodnight everyone.

Have watched the Beijing Olympics at home, where been wanted to go much before Aug. Things just won’t be in your way every time. A chinese friend of mine, Mr Yan, even bought me a ticket for it. That’s so nice of him that he really remember of what i have said when we met during my previous trip. What really surprised me that, he has brought the Tee that i gave him for Charity Auction (Sichuan Earthquakes) and it has fetched 5200RMB!! Never thought that it will be in good use for a good cause! Thank you Mr Yan.

Here are some wonderful photos that those photojournalists have taken at the Beijing 2008 Olympic opening. It’s really awesome and perhaps it will make you drool just like me where so wish to be there.

It been kind of packed with stuff and it just like waves coming in continuously. “Photo shoot”, catching up with friends and some works for causes. Ideas are always fantasying the mind as it just thoughts that not into developments yet and it’s sure be another story when it come to executions. Be it for my art works or something that in mind to bring people nearer for good causes where now just at an initial stage. Hope things will turn out well enough to make it happen. Let’s cross fingers.

Let’s recall what i have done these past few weeks after the Photoaid 2008.

A little gathering with some Photoaiders just a week after the events, just a little catch up and getting to know each other better in some ways and just realised that some of them just stay around my corner!

Talking about catching up with friends etc…… A chinese friend of mine really “shock me” when i received his call with Sg number. He was here with his family and friends. This was the 2nd time i see them in Singapore. It was actually kind of Family reunion one of his daughter just back for the summer holiday. By now, both of his daughters should be overseas to further their studies.

Their dreams seem sound funny and ridiculous? It was indeed what they really felt, it just simply told me everything when we met.

At the same time, was been busying with my aunty stuff. Helping her to create a guest book for her friend’s parent 50th Years Anniversary. Personally, i find it kind of bless to be still so loving at this age. Collected a copy of their photo taken at 1958!!!! During their era, PoP Art was a “IN” thing which started with Andy Warhol so i decided to go by this direction to represent their time of love.

Brought a few canvas, paints and starting working on it, here my “studio”. Before doing these and also helped my aunty to cover that special day for them, shoot, print and delivery services….. after all i am glad that like it and wish them all the best of years and loving always!!!!

Finally, i also KICK my BUTT OFF to start some ideas that i have in my mind since years back. Can say kind of “good” start for me as i have FINALLY color the BASE COLORS…………

This will be a very 1st trial, perhaps a warm up for me…….

The blue color canvas will be something kind of “interesting” if it can be completed like what i have visualised. All these going to take a long long time…… Once done will post it here to share again Be patient .

Another pair of friends have tied their knots, Wish them have a brightest light always for their future ventures and happy always!!!

For the first time that i went to a Comic and Toy conventions, with Laura, her sister and friends. Surprising, something caught my eyes, LAO FU ZI!!!! It really reminder me my childhood memories and it was one of the greatest cantoon comics that i love! Ya, he “molested” me during the show and i have “Witness” too.

Here’s Laura, i have been the “Night rider” where she has include me in her bike insurance, so i will be able to ride her bike whenever she is not using. This indeed great! As i can roam around during the night when i cant really sleep or no more transport problems for my “Lunch or DInner” time

Met up with Su Ee, aka “The Square TV” and Omie on the next day. Nice coffee and what a puzzle that we have fixed! look at that size!

We done it in about a hour time! Amazing?! But i only cover 10% of it, the two are really good at it and the real “spotter” for the tiny pieces!

Time do fly without “notice” and human’s dream do change concurrently due to different phase of life. At the least we still dream no matter what. Where it’s a push factor of moving forwards etc….. So have you? Just like Vincent.

Due to family commitments, Vincent who unable to be there but he still make his best to gave us his moral support by popping by and participated the drive. Same to the others core members who are oversea but has been in great help in coordination works thru the power of the internet. SGD$13870.40 to be exact after 3 weekends of funds raising for the Victims of the Cyclone in Myanmar. THANK YOU to all the volunteers who have burnt their weekends for this good cause and it’s my blesses to know all these people.

And here some photos taken during the 1st weekend of the event.

The very 1st weekend(Sat) and it was my 1st time to view the whole Singapore Flyer at this hour…

The very 1st group shot of the volunteers and the core members before the set up of the stations. And a “evidence” for ourself to get back the “original” skin tones after the events.
